Ricky & Michelle Grover
When he was young, Minister Ricky Grover always knew God had a calling on his life for His ministry. People would tell him that God was calling him to be a preacher. However, it was difficult for him to hear and recognize God’s voice when he had not accepted God and had no membership in a church. It wasn’t until he attended college at Southern University that he would be introduced to Jesus by his girlfriend Michelle Starr.
Upon being introduced to God, he started to attend church, came to know and develop a relationship with Jesus, and later accepted the Lord as his personal Savior, to God be the Glory! His girlfriend Michelle later became his wife. Both of them would become entrenched in God’s ministry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church and Greater Morning Star Baptist church by leading and teaching Sunday school, directing Vacation Bible School, and mentoring youth in God’s word.
Throughout the years, Minister Grover became more actively involved in God’s ministry. Upon praying to God to make His ministry assignment clear, God made it possible for his family to relocate to Carson, California. While living in Carson, he and his family were led to join Central Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Buggs.
His family has served over 15 faithful years at Central Baptist Church participating in various auxiliaries, ministries, and attending Bible Study and Prayer Services. At Central Baptist Church, he was called to serve as a Deacon, and then God later called him to become a Minister. Under the leadership of Pastor Gerald Waddis, he was appointed as the Assistant to the Pastor. Minister and Mrs. Grover lead the CBC Agape Couple’s Ministry and teach Sunday school classes. His wife Michelle also leads the CBC Health Ministry.
Minister Grover has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and received a Bible Diploma at Los Angles Bible Training School. He and his wife have been married for over 25 years. They have 3 beautiful daughters: Jasmine Grover, Brianna Grover, and Maddison Grover. The family enjoys spending quality time together, love the Lord, family, friends, and their church.
